Since our founding in 1985, Kepro has reviewed over one million medical records for our clients to identify key errors such as medical practice. By definition, medical malpractice occurs when there is a dereliction of professional duty through negligence. Professional negligence occurs when a practitioner’s care falls below the standard of care established by the medical community.
Examples of medical malpractice include failure to diagnose harmful disease or injury, medicinal and surgical errors, improper surgery and/or complications. To meet the standard of care, the provider must exercise the knowledge and skills that any reasonable practitioner would use under similar circumstance.
